Oak Park

We moved to Sacramento from Oakland and Oak Park immediately felt like home. With stunning Victorian homes and an older community it has the historic feeling and depth of place that we were used to. When you walk here you can see the houses have stories to tell from all the generations of people who have lived here.

Historic Postcard of Oak Park
The trolley cars no longer run but the historic arch has been restored and you can imagine your self back in 1889 when the neighborhood was established. This was the end of the trolley line and a brand new neighborhood that included the Joyland amusement park.

The neighborhood has gone through several generations of change and now it is changing again. Gentrification is pushing out older residents but along with it is a new vibrant community with people again excited about visiting and shopping in this lovely area.
